Cassidy is a fiction writer who currently is a student at School Of The Arts. She began writing at a young age, but never seriously until she reached her double digits, meaning around age eleven. She auditioned for Creative Writing here at SOTA and was accepted into her current high school. Cassidy has been involved in several programs, and even spoke in front of her school board. She lives with her father and two siblings in Rochester, New York, and enjoys writing, reading, and filmmaking, among other things.
ReplyDeleteDesire Giddens was born in Rochester, New York. She spent most of her time with her grandmother as a child, but by the time she was eight she was living with her mother. She has always had a fondness for sugary snacks, which her grandmother ridiculed her for. She looked toward writing as a future career. She thought that she could reach people through words. She attended School of the Arts through middle school and is now a ninth grader. She hopes that writing can be her profession.
ReplyDeleteAngela Rollins has been a struggling writer for all of fourteen years. She has fought with her need to use proper grammar and English, and is slowly coming to understand that people don’t talk the same as they write. She has been in the Creative Writing program at School Of The Arts since 7th grade. Angela is an animal lover, apple product hater, and one of the many citizens of America. Putting that aside, Angela is very excited about her first publication and cannot wait to continue her writing and publish another novel!
ReplyDeleteTaylor Rugg is 14-years-old and has been attending School of the Arts in Rochester, New York since seventh grade. She majors at creative writing, but her first love was performing. She was in her first production at six years old (Once On This Island) and has continued to thrive in theatre in and outside of school for the past eight years. She uses her spare time to write poetry and finds inspiration in her friends and the rain. She looks up to her mom for support and uses her father’s death as a topic for much of her writing. In the future, she hopes to become a social interventionist to work with adolescents in schools. She hopes to minor in creative writing to continue the education she started in middle school. But for now, she takes one day at a time to improve her skills as a writer and a person.

One of the things she’s most proud of is getting into School Of The Arts as a creative writing major. She hopes to go to college and become an English teacher. ReplyDeleteMy Tiet is a 13 year old Scorpio that is rather indecisive and can’t even pick what her favorite color is. She can be found with her heads in the clouds, and her writing can’t be found anywhere, yet. She lives in the city of Rochester and has two monsters also known as her little sisters. She is known to have an overactive imagination and probably blanking out right now.
ReplyDeleteGabriela Julia is a young author that currently attends School of the Arts. Creative writing has always been one of her major interests and hopes to pursue it in the near future. She is most interested in short stories that have been influenced by important events in her life. She also enjoys writing poetry that can express her feelings vividly and share to others. Although Gabriela hasn’t written any major stories or poems open to the public, she hopes to expand her writing to more people. Her main focus now is academics and believes one day she will work in the medical department, preferably pediatrics.

ReplyDeleteEsther Grace Elliott is a thirteen-year-old ninth grade Creative Writing major at School Of The Arts. She was born October 15, 1995 in Rochester New York. She enjoys reading writing acting in Community Theater (she has been performing since she was four) baking and eating what she bakes. Brownies especially! She currently resides in Rochester, New York with her family Mom Dad two sisters brother a dog named Mr.Biddle a hermit crab named parking and two toads named Dopey and Doc. Her favorite books to read are Harry Potter and she has read the entire series eleven times. ß
Hannah Klaver is a high school student who attends school at School of the Arts. Hannah Klaver loves to write. She likes writing essays and poems. Hannah Klaver likes to express her opinion in her writing. She does struggle at times but ok most of the time. This is her first novel ever published. Hannah Klaver has an outgoing personality and a good sense of humor. Hannah lives at home with her parents, older sister, and dog in Rochester, NY.
ReplyDeleteAshley Lawson is a high school student who currently attends School of the Arts in Rochester, NY. She has written many short stories and poems within her years at SOTA in the Creative Writing Program. Her unique ability to create interesting pieces of writing and fun personality is what makes her such a successful writer. Ashley admires all of her Creative Writing Teachers who have been by her side since the beginning, and who will continue to be there with advice and suggestions throughout the rest of high school.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Walker is a 14 year old uber cool little person. She is a Piscean being with an IQ of 87 and unconventional introvert. She tends to live in her cubicle aka private inferno. In her inferno, she likes to write novels and print them in out in various color inks in her spare time. She is currently out of ink, but she will convince her mother because her writing career is on the line. Carolyn is a melodramatic hypochondriac who needs to balance her emotional equilibrium, which greatly contributes to her writing. Her novels are mainly realistic fiction, but currently consists of fantasies which are created in her world. Carolyn’s world is available on paper in many colors of the rainbow, but it is on hold, due to her indecisive and lethargic nature.

ReplyDeleteShannon Lorene Kalia is a young, determined, aspiring writer. This is her first published novel. She has had a passion for writing all of her life, and has had many achievements in writing, such as winning the Penfield Poetry Contest and Blues Poetry Contest while she was an eighth grader at School of the Arts. When she’s not at school, she works at the Rochester Museum And Science Center in the Café’. In her spare time, she enjoys curling up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and a good book, jamming out to songs on her iPod, and being with friends. Shannon resides in Rochester, New York with her mother and grandfather.
ReplyDeleteNorah Cooper is a new author who is currently attending School of the Arts, Rochester, as a ninth grade Creative writing major. As far as writing goes, she has been involved in Writing Workshops, an optional tenth period with Marcy Gamzon, and working with her parents, who are both English professors at Suny Geneseo. Norah’s other interests include competitive swimming, running, and playing her alto saxophone and guitar. When she is not involved with these activities, you will find her reading in her room, playing with her dog Mocha, or creating dodgy shenanigans with her twin brother, Dalton.

He once made a realistic fiction about the struggle between a son and his father. Samantae is a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loves sports video games and his favorite game is Madden NFL 10. Samantae would love to someday write a story about a young athlete that wants to be the best football player he can

The first time she found out she had a desire to write poetry was in the 6th grade, and from there has started to share her works with the rest of the world. She is the oldest girl of 5 children. She is currently living in Rochester, NY. She enjoys sports like basketball and softball. She also likes to watch soccer even though she can’t play it. She is only in high school and is certain that more of her books will be shared with the world as her life goes on.!

ReplyDeleteHis favorite sport is soccer and he play’s very good at goalie. Haris is from Bosnia Herzegovina, but he lives in America in New York, Rochester. He goes to school at School Of The Arts and is a creative writing major and loves to read books with lots of suspense and action.
Mariah Joy Gonzalez is fourteen years old and lives in Rochester, NY. She started writing when she was in the fourth grade, when she found out that it was a great way to express her emotions and feelings. Her favorite type of literature is fiction. Mariah attends School of the arts and is a creative writing major. By attending this school she feels that she is getting an education that will help her succeed in the future. She lives at home with her mother and father and in her spare time likes to read, play soccer and listen to music.
ReplyDeleteKaisean Roseboro is 14 years old and is currrently attending School Of The Arts. He is somewhat shy in real life but his interest in acting and poetry has made him a confident person on stage kaisean loves writing poems and stories. But hopes one day to look back on them and finish them IF he remembers. Kaisean has written poems like “you survived “ and “the masked mailman”. And he’s currently working on a novel called “kaisean 5.0” he says it wasn’t supposed to be a novel but I felt like an interesting challenge to him. Kaisean is a harmless person who cares for his friends and forgets his enemies. Raised in Rochester “new york” , kaisen has a mind to see things in an abstract perspective. And is always bringing a twist the game. “My vision I hear the story of my life but not from a book, but from the people I had an impact on positively in their lives.” he says.
