Alexander Christie is currently a 9th grade creative writing major at School of the Arts. He is 13 years old. He currently lives with his parents in Rochester, New York and has a sister studying theatre in New York City. In his free time, he enjoys reading books and writing short stories. His family is very supportive of his writing and everything else he is invested in. Although he hasn’t written any long term pieces of writing, he hopes to write and publish a novel someday. Aside from writing, he also enjoys singing, dancing, and acting in various productions. He loves living in an arts community and being able to do the things he loves. Going into his 9th grade year, he is excited to be learning new things about writing and himself. He hopes that he can continue to express himself through the arts after school, and share his knowledge with the world.

Her younger sister is 11, who attends Virgil I. Grissom, School number 7, where Laurie attended until the third grade. Laurie was born Fort Hood, Texas, on May 22, 2001, on a military base. Her father was a military man until June of 2014, when he retired from doing military services. He had been deployed overseas four times in Laurie’s life. When Laurie was only a few months old, her mother Deanna Ernisse, her father Bj Ernisse, and her older sister Kherie Ernisse, left Fort Hood Texas to move back to Rochester. She was always the one in jeans and a t-shirt, ready to play in the dirt, ready to fix a car, always something that people thought were a “man’s job.” She loved proving people wrong and showing them that females can do anything a male can do, and even sometimes, better than a male. Currently, Laurie lives in Rochester with her grandmother and two sisters in an apartment building. She loves writing and it is her passion. She loves music and spending time thinking on how to argue competitively, possibly as a lawyer. She plans on pursuing her interest as a lawyer, or a professional writer.
