Alexander Christie is currently a 9th grade creative writing major at School of the Arts. He is 13 years old. ReplyDeleteI thought that video was inspiring and motivated me to work hard and improve my writing. The video helped let me know making mistakes is okay.
ReplyDeleteI saw creative use of deleting words to make the point clear. I didn't really like the deleting comments every time something was on the screen because it seemed excessive.

ReplyDeleteI think the video had cool transitions and the use of colors helped point out which words were important. The song also made it easier to focus on what it was saying, if there wasn't a song I probably would have got bored. The video also had really positive messages for people who might get discouraged with their writing. The concept of the video was very good and I think it was meant to motivate people to write.

ReplyDeleteHoraylis Michelle De Leon is currently in 9th grade. She currently lives with her mother, Grandmother, youngest uncle, and one of her brothers. She is a writing major but she also enjoys playing the trumpet and drawing. She’s currently working on two books and hopes to one day publish them. IN her spare time she enjoys listening to music and giving family members and friends small trumpet concerts when she can. Especially for her siblings. Being in 9th grade she’s excited but also worried about meeting new people and learning new things. She’s also concerned about getting lost in her school because she gets lost easily. She hopes to have a good year with everyone and enjoy her time while she’s here.

In her free time, she enjoys reading books and writing stories and poems. Her mother and father both share a love for writing and she likes to think that that’s the reason why she loves writing. Both of her parents are very encouraging of her and hopes that she can make her dreams to become a published writer someday. A’layza one day hopes to someday find a career as professional writer and spend her time traveling around the world to learn more about it so that it can help influence her writing. Going into 9th grade, A’layza hopes to learn more about writing and find her writing style and to be able to write more frequently and overcome writer’s block.

Aside from writing Valerie has a passion for animals and is an eccentric equestrian. She currently resides in Rochester, New York but plans to move to Montreal, Canada in the long run. Valerie may seem quiet, but she cares a lot about people and is an avid listener. Currently, Valerie hopes she can improve her writing over the course of this year.

She lives with her parents and pets in Rochester, NY and has no siblings. In her free time, she enjoys yo-yoing, taking pictures on her film camera and typing on her typewriter. She lives with her parents and two sisters, both attended School of the Arts and one has graduated while the other is starting 11th grade. During Melinda’s free time she enjoys hanging with friends or listening to music. She enjoys writing horror stories and adventurous stories as well. Melinda is curious as to what she will learn this year at School about writing and if she will want to pursue this as a career after High School.

She was born February 27th 2003 in Rochester, NY. In her free time she likes to play sports, and writing. Her mother and father are very supportive when it comes to her writing skills. She hasn’t written any pieces recently but she plans on writing some pieces soon. Going into her 9th grade year she is excited to see what the school year has to come. She hopes she can express herself in the writing community
Liz M.Torres is a 13 year old, 9th grader attending SOTA for creative writing. Currently lives in Rochester NY with her family, she’s social and likes to hear about others opinion. In her spare time Liz plays volleyball or hangs out with her brother. In the future she’s hoping to become a writer so she can share her stories to others, so they can enjoy them as much as she does. ReplyDeleteBisharo is a 9th grader at School of The Arts. Her major is creative writing which is an irony because she doesn’t really enjoy writing at all. Bisharo gets along with many but is very quiet and keeps to herself. Bisharo enjoys these subjects: Science, & Social Studies. Bisharo’s favorite color is purple although she does not wear anything that is that color. Bisharo grew up in a big family. She is one of 8 children from both her mom and dad. Bisharo is the 5th child. Bisharo loves being around family. Bisharo also loves to eat and sleep. Bisharo has one pet which is a cat.

Whenever she has free time she like to write poems, short stories, and read. Her family is supportive of her writing as well as the other activities she enjoys to do. She wants to publish a novel of her own someday in the future. Besides writing she likes to dance, do track, and basketball. Going into her 9th grade year, she hopes to discover more about herself and her writing also.
Makenna Green is a 14 year old, 9th creative writing student at School of the Arts. She enjoys other artistic activities like photography, drama and visual arts as much as writing. Makenna’s parents and four siblings are supportive of her passion for writing and try to help suggest new ideas the best they can. One thing she’s known for talking, taking pictures or writing about is her three dogs. Her creative mind often causes her to have too many ideas, and she can’t decide what to write. Non fiction is Makenna’s favorite thing to write as well as poetry. She hopes to become an author or movie editor one day.

Jonaya is living with her mother and her stepfather who encourage her to follow her passion of becoming a famous author. Along with becoming a famous author she has passions in dance and acting her family also encourages those passions too. ReplyDeleteKeniah is a creative writing major at school of the arts. Her favorite color is yellow and she loves to eat chicken dip. Keniah is 14 years old her birthday is may 14th so she’s a taurus. Keniah is the only girl on her mom and dad side she had 4 brothers but she is the middle child. Keniah also lives with her mom. Keniah has a best friend name Bisharo they’ve been really close since the 7th grade even through rough times. Keniah loves to make sure her appearance is presentable at all times also keniah favorite number is 7 lol. Her favorite subject is math because she finds it easier to do. Keniah grew up in a big family on both mom and dad side. Keniah is mixed with black, (cuacasian) white, indian, and a little jamaican etc. last but not least keniah is very intelligent and makes sure her work is done before anything because she has goal that she wants to achieve.

He lives in in Rochester, New York with his parents, his cousin brothers, uncle and his aunt and has a brother and he currently studying in Asia as Technical Engineering
ReplyDeleteAs his major. In his free time Degraj plays soccer outside in the field with his friends and sometimes he plays video games. He loves listening to music and his favorite genre is Dubstep songs. He feels positive about the new academic year and hopes he can graduate with high grades.
Tali Beckwith Cohen is a 14 year old Creative Writing major at the School of the Arts. She lives with her parents and older brother who never stops dancing. Tali is a Rochesterian through and through. From a young age, Tali has been fascinated by theatre. With 2 actors as parents, she has been exposed to the art since birth and participated in her first community theater production at 6. Since then she has been in many shows and is a graduate of the GEVA Theater Summer Academy! Tali has had 13 surgeries because she was born with Left Congenital Fibular Hemimelia, however she will not be discussing that further in her bio and if you are curious as to what that is you can look it up. When not in a play, Tali enjoys reading, writing poetry and playing guitar. She is excited to be a creative writing major because she loves storytelling and communication and wants to spend 2 periods a day doing just that.

Currently seyena lives with her elder sister.During her life seyena has been out of control of many drastic things,so in most of her free time she writes stories and poems and in that little world of words she controls everything from the way the main character sighs to how she makes words that has nothing alike rhyme .Seyena is very abstract and odd compared to “normal teenagers” she listens to rappers that were in 5-15 years ago such as dr.dre ,eminem and through them she was inspired to write.

She also has a good amount of siblings,4 sisters and 1 brother .She currently lives with her parents in Rochester, New York and enjoys going out places hanging with her friends as hobbies , such as movies libraries and football games.In her free time she enjoys sleeping or going outside and enjoying the great weather. Her Family is very supportive with school and wants her to become successful. Although sometimes she is a little trouble she has great energy and great personality.
