AGENDA:
On a Google doc, answer the following questions and print out. Cite examples from the book.
1. Discuss the different reactions Mabel and Jack had when Faina came back to them. Why are their reactions so different? Cite examples from the book to support your answer.
2. Why do you think Garrett seemed to become disrespectful of Jack when Jack asked him not to shoot the fox?
3. Why did Mabel run out into the snowstorm? Was it a good idea? How do you think her rash decision will affect her?
Work on folktale adaptation and portfolio.
This course will serve as an introduction to the basic grammatical rules of standard written English through the use of writing exercises and creative activities. Students will review basic grammar and move on to more advanced stylistic concerns essential to creative writers in all genres. 2nd semester--writing for self-discovery

Folktale Adaptation/Reading/Portfolio
AGENDA:
There are 3 things to work on today:
1. Finish your folktale adaptation
2. Read Snow Child: Ch. 21-29 for Friday (finish Part II if you can)
3. Work on organizing your 9th grade portfolio--use paper clips and post it notes to select items for your final portfolio/final exam. Remember you really cannot write your self-reflection until you have selected the work you will include in your portfolio and can discuss it in the body of your evaluation essay.
