I like these three ideas because they try to make the writer use their imagination to write a story involving these elements.

  2. 73. What if you could stop time but you could only use this skill three times? How would you use it?

I like this prompt because it causes you to think about whether or not a moment is important enough to stop time for it.

    71. What if you found the cure for one illness, mental or physical? What would you choose to cure?

This prompt interests me because there are many illnesses that you could choose from.

    39. What if you realized you were going to die 24 hours from now?

I like this prompt because it makes you reflect on the decisions you made and the ones you're going to make.

  3. 42. What if you had the power to instantly destroy the world?
    - This is manipulative, evil and maniacal. It’d be fun to write about. There would be so much blackmail, framing, and thinking involved within the story. The story would need to revolve around so much intelligence in order to kill someone with that much power. There would be plot twists, and the characters need to throw off the villain.
    43. What if you had the chance to do a complete reset on your life?
    - This is unforgiving. It seems good because you can erase a completely horrible life but it has setbacks that can challenge the protagonist. What about the good memories? What about everyone you cherish in your life? Would you even remember your past life? You can’t apply exceptions to this condition either, which is what makes it so unforgiving.
    10. What if you met someone who could see the future?
    - I have reoccurring dreams like this (and honestly they’re not fun at all because the person that can see the future, aka me, can’t tell anyone what I see or the fact that I can see into the future in general. If I try, anything would stop me) so it’d be easy writing the story since I’m just recalling what happened.

  4. What if you realized you were going to die 24 hours from now?
-It offers a sense of temporariness to a life that it speeds up the desire to want to achieve something before its too late.

What if you could meet yourself as the opposite sex? For example, if you are a woman, you might meet yourself as a man. Would you talk to your other self? How would you react?
    - I want to see how different we would act because I'm pretty sure we'd be exactly alike considering how i am now

What if you could time travel into the past and future? How would you use this skill? What would you change?
    - We go through so many mistakes in our lives (big or small) and this prompt would give the perspective of secureness

  5. 65. What if you could ask for a warning about anything such as your death, a job loss, or an injury? What would you ask for and why? I found this interesting because I pictured starting a story with a dream in which a bad event is predicted and then later that day that event occurs. The main character never has dreams like that again but the event and dream are so similar and specific that he is scarred by the memory.

    59. What if you could meet your true love, but he or she would be catching you in the act of doing something unethical? I found this interesting because it caused me to wonder if you and your true love would end up getting together even after getting off on the wrong foot or if that single event will stop you from even talking to her.

    31. What if you were hiking and heard a young child screaming deep into the woods?
I found this prompt interesting because I already know I’d be outta there hella quick.

  6. 35. What if you found out that your coworkers could all read your mind?
I feel this is interesting because what if you hated everyone you worked with? If you hated your boss? Your job? That would be interesting to write about how they would react.

    30. What if you found a piece of jewelry that could give you the ability to fly?
I found this interesting because I would wonder if the main character would hide it, or if he/she would show everyone and show off.

    31. What if you were hiking and heard a young child screaming deep into the woods?
I found this interesting because I would run away, but I wonder how a book person would react, because I KNOW they wouldn’t run away, they would do some super detective sherlock holmes stuff and almost end up getting killed.

What if you could ask for a miracle and it would actually happen? What would that be?
what if you found out you were going to accomplish everything you set your mind to for the next 10 hours? What would you do?

  8. 62. What if you found out that you were going to come back as a ghost after you die?
-I found that this prompt was fairly interesting, because it would show the main character’s thought process when they discover that they aren’t truly dead after death, if that makes any sense. They’d be able to witness everything happening to their loved ones, good or bad, but they would not be able to interfere or interact with anyone.

☆☆☆68. What if you found out you were going to accomplish everything you set your mind to for the next 10 hours? What would you do?
-This could make a pretty interesting story, in my opinion. I feel like this could also work out really well if it were written in a second person perspective, because it could allow the reader to relate with the main character more than if it were written in first or third person perspective. The main character, I feel, would also become extremely greedy and become overwhelmed with all of the power that they have in those ten hours. Eventually, it is discovered that all of the things that the main character has done for good ends up backfiring.

    43. What if you had the chance to do a complete reset on your life?
-This is another prompt that I feel like I can do a lot with. It would work out best in either first or second person perspective. I think that it would be an interesting concept if the main character only knew that they were going to reset their life, but they don’t know what kind of life they’ll get next. If they reset for simply being tired of their own life, or just hating their life, there is a chance that their next life will turn out even worse, but they’ll take the risk anyway. There would be no going back for the main character, and they’d be stuck with their new life.

  9. 56. What if you could control the score of the a major sporting event such as the Olympics, Super Bowl or World Cup?

Super Bowl 51 and change the outcome of the day situation of the game.

    71. What if you found the cure for one illness, mental or physical? What would you choose to cure? I would choose cancer because innocent people are having their lives taken away too early

64-What if you could create your own TV show with all your friends and loved ones as the cast? What kind of show would it be and who would play which parts?

The show would be called N.L.M.B (Never Leave My Brothers) It would be a Drama/ Comedy teen show. The main characters are Darnell, Ricky, Jayden, and Javant. They will be the “Brothers” who have been friends since elementary school and continued that friendship into high school. There were fights, betrayal, tragedy but at the end of the day, their bond is still unbreakable.
